Other information & experiences
In 2007, I received my Bachelor's degree from the Applied Foreign Languages Department of Lumière Lyon II University in France. After studying at the University of Birmingham in England for one year with the Erasmus Exchange Program, I graduated from the Department of Language and Communication, Redactor/Translator of Bretagne Occidentale University in 2009. Thanks to this training, I improved my language and translation skills and received basic training on computer assisted translation (Trados). In addition to my university education, I worked as a translator and project coordinator at Absolute Interpreting and Translations Ltd in Birmingham, England. This role, where I worked as a liaison officer between public institutions, private sector organizations and linguists, taught me to gain proficiency in translation and communication, manage my time efficiently and work as a team member. Between 2011 and 2014, I taught English at private schools in Istanbul. After 2014, I quit teaching and decided to do my own freelance translator job, which I graduated from again. I registered as a sworn translator at Kartal 5th Notary Public. In addition to sworn translation services, I translate texts with technical content from English and Turkish languages to my mother tongue French in the fields of tourism, advertising, law, medicine, informatics and education.
